Before joining Duncan Shoemaker & Associates, Mr. Garcia spent 5 years as a stevedore, utilizing ship’s lifting gear and heavy machinery to optimize cargo operations. Irvin Garcia is a seasoned operator and experienced Port Captain, managing numerous cargo operations, coordinating with vessel Owners, Charterers, ship’s Crew, and vendors, to affect an efficient and safe vessel port call. He specializes in dry bulk vessels, including cargo hold cleaning and preparation, cargo loading and discharging operations. Fluent in both spoken and written Spanish.
